Board Member: Mr. Johann Georg Gross Deutsche Telekom AG, Senior Expert, Innovation Projects

Johann Georg Gross represents the Deutsche Telekom Group in the Wireless Broadband Alliance. He has been engaged in the WBA since 2005 and, in August 2009, became Director of the Board. He also heads the Industry Alliances working group. Mr. Gross leverages cooperation with other global Telco forums to shorten time-to-market, utilize complementary strengths and avoid any duplication.

At Deutsche Telekom, Johann Gross works in the International Carrier Sales & Solutions business unit. The product portfolio of Deutsche Telekom's international wholesale arm includes international WiFi roaming services and WiFi aggregation. Mr. Gross is in the Innovation Projects department, which is responsible for developing innovative services such as PC-to-mobile video communication, content delivery solutions and virtual carrier solutions.

Johann Gross joined Deutsche Telekom in 1991. During his time with the company, he has held various positions, in particular on the task forces of European telco associations, including the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) and the European Telecommunications Platform (ETP), of which he was Vice Chairman from 2003-2006.

Johann Georg Gross has a Master's degree in European business management from the University of Applied Sciences in Worms, Germany, and the University of London.
